Joel Newman

Partner

After graduating from the London School of Economics, Joel trained and qualified with Price Waterhouse. Having become a tax manager there, he left in 1978 to join Levy Gee where he subsequently became the Senior Tax Partner. Joel joined Nyman Libson Paul in 1991 and is the current Managing Partner of the practice. Much of his time is devoted to specialist tax advice, particularly in connection with partnership tax. 

As well as being a qualified Chartered Accountant, Joel is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Member of the Faculty of Taxation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. As a result of his expertise, he has written several books in connection with tax on maintenance payments. 

Most of Joel’s time outside the office is taken up by his family and he is an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC.
